At Maison de Cils®, every transformation begins with precision. To ensure flawless, seamless results, proper preparation before your hair extension appointment is essential. This guide was created to help you arrive fully ready, so that each strand blends perfectly, adheres securely & maintains the natural beauty and movement that define our signature work.

  • Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo

    Clean hair ensures the best adhesion. Use a clarifying or deep-cleansing shampoo to remove any buildup, oil or product residue from your scalp & lengths.

  • Do not use conditioner, hair masks or oils afterward.

    These products coat the hair cuticle, creating a slippery surface that prevents the adhesive or beads from gripping properly. Even small traces can cause extensions to slip or fail to bond securely.

  • Dry & straighten your hair before coming

    Arrive with completely dry, straight hair. This allows for precise sectioning & accurate placement of the extensions. Avoid coming with wet or wavy hair, as this can compromise installation quality.

  • Do not apply any products

    Refrain from using leave-in conditioners, serums, oils, sprays, or dry shampoos on the day of your appointment. Even lightweight products can leave a film on your hair that affects adhesion.

  • Avoid heavy styling the day before

    Skip curling, braiding, applying heat protectants or styling creams before your appointment. Your natural texture should remain as clean and product-free as possible.

  • Plan to arrive on time

    Each application is meticulously timed and customized. Arriving on time ensures your stylist has the full session to achieve the perfect blend, placement & finish.
