Eyelash extension preparation

At Maison de Cils®, every detail matters. To ensure your eyelash extensions are applied with perfect precision & lasting comfort, proper preparation is essential. This guide was designed to help you arrive fully ready for your appointment. By following these steps, you allow our experts to work with optimal conditions, guaranteeing flawless retention, comfort & the refined finish that defines the Maison de Cils® experience.

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes.

Remove all mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow & under-eye products before your appointment. Even small traces of oil or residue can interfere with adhesive bonding.

  • Wash your lashes with a gentle, oil-free cleanser.

We recommend cleansing your lashes thoroughly using a professional lash shampoo or mild foaming cleanser. This ensures a clean base for perfect adhesion.

  • Avoid using oil-based skincare or makeup products around the eyes.

Oils weaken the adhesive & may cause premature lash shedding. Switch to water-based products at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid spray sunscreens or facial mists.

The fine mist can leave invisible oily residues on your lashes and eyelids, compromising extension adhesion. Opt for cream-based SPF applied carefully away from the eyes.

  • Avoid applying serums or lash conditioners.

These leave a film on your lashes that can affect the bond strength of the extensions.

  • Shower & wash your hair beforehand.

You must avoid water, steam & heat for the first 24 hours after the application, so plan to wash and dry your hair before your visit.

  • Do not curl your natural lashes.

Keep your lashes in their natural state. Curling can alter their shape & make application more difficult.

  • Avoid caffeine or stimulants before your appointment.

These can make your eyes flutter and cause discomfort during the session.

  • Arrive on time and relaxed.

The appointment is a moment of calm and precision. Please arrive on time to settle in comfortably.
