• Avoid long hot showers

Long, steamy showers can weaken the adhesive bond. The heat & moisture can loosen the glue, causing premature fallout.

  • Avoid saunas

Intense heat & steam will break down the adhesive, loosen the bond & cause lashes to fall off faster than normal. The extensions will also lose their curl.

  • Avoid direct steam

A facial steamer, boiling pot, or even opening the dishwasher, can significantly weaken the glue.

  • Do not wet in the first 24 hours

It interferes with the adhesive's curing process. Moisture can cause lash extensions to fall off prematurely or clump together.

  • No oil-based products near the eye area

Oil can break down the adhesive & lead to early lash loss. Always use oil-free products around your eyes.

  • No mascara / lash curler

It ruins the shape of your extensions & cause them to clump, break, or fall out. Curling tools also apply pressure that can snap the lashes.

  • Do not rub, pull, or play with them

It weakens the bond & risks damaging both the extensions & your natural lashes. Rubbing or pulling can lead to irritation, bald spots, or lash loss.

  • Brush gently & not more than twice a day

Over-brushing can lead to shedding. Limit brushing to 1–2 times daily. Gently comb through the lashes without tugging.

  • Use a professional grade eyelash extension shampoo or cleanser

Keeping your lashes clean prevents build-up, irritation & infections. Use a lash-safe cleanser or shampoo formulated specifically for extensions.

  • Avoid sleeping on the side

Sleeping on your side or stomach puts pressure on your lashes, causing them to bend, twist, or fall out. Try to sleep on your back to protect your extensions & maintain their shape.

  • When tanning outdoors, wear sunglasses

Extended UV exposure can break down the lash adhesive & undo the curl, especially in strong sunlight. Wearing sunglasses helps shield your lashes from direct heat & sunlight, while also protecting your eyes.

  • Light & hold cigarettes away from the eyes

The heat & smoke from cigarettes can dry out or weaken the lash adhesive & straighten them out. Always light cigarettes at arm’s length & avoid holding them near your face.

  • Dry your lashes gently with a handheld fan while brushing gradually

Use a handheld fan to help dry your lashes slowly. While drying, softly brush your extensions little by little with a spoolie brush to keep them separated and aligned. Avoid brushing your lashes when they are still wet, as wet lashes are weaker & brushing them can cause premature fallout or damage.

  • Book refills as needed to maintain fullness

To keep your eyelash extensions looking their best, schedule refill appointments every 1 to 3 weeks. Regular refills replace lost extensions, maintain volume & ensure a fresh, natural look. Avoid letting too much natural lash growth show before refilling to prevent gaps & unevenness.
